After the Namibia game , who would have thought it ! Ireland were abysmal tonight ( again ) - that was headless chicken stuff . To see Ireland camped on their own line in the last minute valiantly trying to keep the might of Georgia out was an embarrassment . We might as well go home now ! Where has it all gone wrong ???

The build up, the hype, it was all wrong, Ireland thought they were contenders - possible champions. I'm sorry but it was like listening to the English media.Ireland have no right to think they could be World Champions, what have we done? we've won a couple of Triple Crowns - big deal. I really do think that both France and Argentina will give us a good hiding - hope I'm wrong, but based on recent results I can't see us even competing!!

It is hard to think of a worse scenario for Ireland without them actually losing the first two games. Last night was a shambles and it is very hard to explain why Ireland played like that.
I guess we will see what they are made of on Friday when they face France, it will have to be of strong stuff if they want to qualify.Posted 4 years ago # -
The only thing I am hoping for is the fact that we went into the last two games knowing that we were going to win them and this caused them games to be so close, were going to be in a completely different mind set come Friday. I would love to see Irish be taken more seriously than it is right now because of how we've played the last two matches France and Argentina are going to feel like were a definite win. Cant let that happen.
Btw its nice to find a good message board about Irish rugby.
