Kearney starts at full-back against Wales

Rob Kearney will start against Wales at full-back after Dempsey and Murphy were both ruled out due to injuries. The injuries have caused Eddie to re-shuffle the back line ahead of Saturday’s game in Croke Park.

Ireland: Kearney; Horgan, B O’Driscoll (capt), Trimble, Bowe; O’Gara, Reddan; Horan, Best, Hayes, O’Callaghan, O’Connell, Leamy, D Wallace, Heaslip.

Replacements: Jackman, Buckley, M O’Driscoll, Easterby, Stringer, P Wallace, Fitzgerald.

    We live in New Zealand &my husbands christian name is Kearney named after his grandmother Kitt Kearney from Cork. He is interested to know where Robert Kearney is from in Ireland as it is unusual to start with a K. Maybe they are related.
