Heineken cup champions, Munster, pulled out a great a win against cup rivals Leicester in what proved to be a pulsating match to the end. Ronan O’Gara clinched the win with a late penalty to win the game in a wet Welford Road. Leicester had done well earlier in the game to come back from a nine point deficit only to be cost by indiscipline through out the game. Munster started and ended well with first half tries from second row star Donna O’Callaghan and David Wallace. Leicester did go ahead in the last minutes but not for long as Ronan thumped a great penalty from within his own half to snatch the win.
