Ireland gives Lansdowne a winning farewell

Ireland v Pacific

The last international match to be played at the legendary Lansdowne road was a fitting win against the Pacific Islanders. It was a massive result for Ireland with a 61 – 17 win over the Islanders. An incredible performance by Ireland meant that the Pacific Islands never had much of a chance competing against an on form Ireland. The game saw some great performances by new players including Paddy Wallace who earned the title “Man of the Match” by converting 6 out of 8 penalty's. It was also a great start for a youngster Luke Fitzgerald. Ireland continue to rumble on as a world beating nation who I hope will continue their current trend into the Six Nations.
